Initial Storage Period

When you drop off or mail in your film to Rewind Photo Lab, we store your processed negatives within our filing system free of charge for 30 days from the date of processing. During this time, you can collect your negatives directly from our store location without any additional fees.

For customers using the Wollongong store, please note that we keep jobs on-site for 45 days before transferring to deep storage due to potential transit delays.

Unable to Collect In-Store?

If you were unable to pick up your negatives in-store as originally planned, we've created a seamless solution for you with our "Negative Return Shipping Request" service:

1. Visit our Service Page: Go to Negative Return Shipping Request on our website.
2. Fill in Required Information: Provide the exact name the job was placed under, your job order number, email address, shipping address, and contact number.
3. Complete Your Order: The $8.50 charge for this service includes all standard shipping costs.
4. Submission Confirmation: Once submitted, you'll receive a confirmation email with the details of your return shipping request.

Deep Storage System

After the initial 30-day period, your negatives are transferred to our secure off-site deep storage facility.

Retrieving from Deep Storage

For orders older than 4 weeks:

1. Use Our Deep Storage Form: Please use our Deep Storage Retrieval form to request your negatives.
2. Retrieval Fee: A fee applies when retrieving negatives from deep storage.
3. Delivery Method: Upon retrieval from deep storage and payment of the fee, your negatives will be mailed to the address you provide.
4. Processing Time: Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing your retrieval request and shipping your negatives.

Long-Term Storage Policy

Please be aware of our policy regarding long-term storage:

• 12-Month Uncollected Work Policy: Any items or materials left uncollected for 12 months or more will be considered forfeited. Rewind Photo Lab reserves the right to dispose of or destroy these items after this period.

Digital File Storage

• 7-Day File Storage: Uploaded files are stored on our server for 7 days. Be sure to download them immediately.
• Correct Download Process: To download correctly from Dropbox, click DOWNLOAD then DIRECT DOWNLOAD.
• After 7 Days: Should you need to access your files after the 7-day period and they are no longer available on our server, the files are considered permanently unrecoverable. Rescanning of your film may be necessary to recreate the digital files.

• Track Your Jobs: Keep a record of when you dropped off your film to know when the free storage period ends.
• Keep Contact Details Updated: Ensure we have your current address and contact information.
• Backup Digital Files: We recommend downloading and backing up your digital scans as soon as they're provided.
